Branding & Logos
Benefits of branding.
Do you want customers to keep coming back? Do you want them to spread the word and tell others about you?
In order to do that they need to remember you. If people can’t remember the name of your company and you are easily forgettable, you could be missing out on a lot of business.
That’s why having a strong brand identity is crucial. It could mean the difference between success and failure.
What is Branding?
Branding is more than just a fancy logo or a catchy tagline. It is the essence of your business – the unique combination of your values, personality, and promise to your customers.
It encompasses every interaction, touchpoint, and communication that your audience has with your brand. From your website design to your customer service, every element contributes to your brand identity.
Building Recognition & Trust
In a world saturated with choices, customers are seeking brands they can trust. A strong brand creates an emotional connection, fostering loyalty and advocacy.
When people associate positive experiences and emotions with your brand, they are more likely to choose you over competitors.
Think about some of the world’s most iconic brands. Coca-Cola, Apple, Toyota – their success goes beyond their products or services.
Their brand evokes feelings of happiness, innovation, and excellence. These brands have built trust and loyalty over time by consistently delivering on their brand promise and creating memorable experiences.
Stand Out From The Crowd
In today’s digital landscape, it’s easy to get lost among the competition. It can be challenging to stand out and capture the attention of your target audience. This is where branding becomes your secret weapon.
A well-defined brand sets you apart from the competition. It helps you stand out in a sea of similar products or services, making it easier for customers to choose you.
Imagine you are looking to buy a new smartphone. There are dozens of options available, all boasting similar features and functionalities.
However, if you see the iconic Apple logo, you immediately associate it with cutting-edge technology, sleek design, and an exceptional user experience.
Love them or hate them, Apple’s branding has enabled them to differentiate themselves and become the preferred choice of millions worldwide.
Brand Loyalty
Consistency is the key to successful branding. Your brand should be instantly recognizable across all channels and touchpoints.
Consistency not only builds trust but also fosters brand recall. When consumers consistently see and experience your brand in a cohesive manner, it becomes ingrained in their minds.
This makes it easier for them to recall your brand when they are in need of your product or service.
Brand loyalty is a powerful asset. Loyal customers not only become repeat purchasers but also brand advocates. They willingly recommend your brand to others. This is very powerful as people are more likely to trust a personal recommendation from someone they know.
Branding Example
Take a look at our branding. The first thing that probably comes to mind is the logo. What do you notice?
There is a consistent theme. The colours are the same as the main theme colours used on the rest of the site.
Notice also the mountain logo. This reinforces the name of the company ‘Olympus’, as it references mount Olympus. Mountains also have other positive connotations which we don’t have time to go into here, but these also amplify the brand message.
Notice also the favicon in the browser tab. It is consistent with the logo, using the same colours and the same mountain theme.
The colours of the logo, the favicon, and the website are all consistent too and have been carefully chosen. Different colours evoke different emotions so you need to make sure that your particular business is using colours that are sending out the right message.
There’s a reason that companies selling ‘Green products’ often use the colour green in their branding.
Also take note of the font. Yes, even that is an important part of your brand image. If for example we had use Comic Sans, would you take us seriously?
On the other hand if the font was something like Old English, it would look out of place for a modern forward thinking company like ours.
Although these are some of the most important aspects of branding there are others which are more subtle. However, they should all add to the overall impression you want to give to your customers.
